The back yard is exactly right –
Not too big and not too tight.
I hear the leaves and love the light,
I sink in green but am still white.
　　
I smell the dirt and like things messy
(I never was too fussy),
I couldn’t ask for more

I love it best when you are there,
Hanging wash and in plain sight,
To keep off owls and other frights.
