90年代末からアメリカに拠点を設け活動している日本人写真家海原力（うみはら・ちから）が限定300で制作したファーストブック。広大なアメリカ大陸をバスで縦断、車中からアメリカのリアルを淡々と切り取ったもの。表紙には300以上に及ぶアメリカの大小の街の名称と時刻、これは海原が実際に立ち寄った街とそのバス発車時刻だという。アメリカのAlec Sothは、2017年の個人的ベスト10写真集（Photobooks of 2017）で、本書をその1冊に選んでいる。Sothは、海原がこのバス旅で見つけた小さな「Whispering Hope」に写真熱を静かにかきたてられたようだ。デザインはViviane Sassenの写真集などで評価の高いオランダのデザイナーSybren Kuiperがおこなっている。
