Lee Friedlanderが、Walker Evansの名作「Message from the Interior」を意識して制作した写真集。汚く書き殴られた壁の落書きや、ストリートに氾濫する文字という文字。そうしたものの数々からアメリカを描写しつつ、多重に事物を組合せ、視覚的効果を十二分に確保している。「Message from the Interior」とサイズも同一。
ハードカバー。表紙右下隅に軽いアタリ。
